What I carry is a winning football from NFL game. When I was a kid I used to go to frequent football games at the Giant Stadium with my father. We got the most cheap seats but being there was a better experience than now watching it on TV. But don’t get me wrong, the TV view was way better than our views in the stadium . My Father is Carpenter and he is very successful with his job. One time my dad had this client that needed work down around her house. After the work was done my dad asked her what she does for living . She responded that she works for NFL being a coordinator or something like that. She was willing to give us the front row 2-3 tickets to my dad for the excellent work he had done around the house.
It’s was on a Monday and a school night, my dad asked my mom if it was okay for me to go with dad and my dad’s friend from work to the game. My mom gave the okay and we went to the game. The teams that were playing were New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts. My father was a fan of the Jets while my Dad’s friend David was a fan of the Colts. Before the game started we got enough food so we didn’t miss any of the first half. The game started off with the Jets getting the football. They got into the red zone but fail to get a touchdown so they decided to go a for 3 or field goal in American football terms. A lot of people with Colts jersey started cheering for somebody named Peyton Manning. At the time I didn’t know he was a big deal. David, my dad’s friend was telling me that Peyton was going breeze through this Jets defense. So I was watching carefully and saw that Peyton was passing quickly the ball than a blink of an eye and suddenly the Colts got a touchdown.
Quarters of the game flew bye and the Colts had the final play. The Jets were up 30 to Colts 24 as I remember. The Colts were at the end zone with 15 seconds left on the clock and Peyton shift right to left as he was going to run the ball. But instead of he passed it to a person named Dallas Clark who at the time I didn’t know. He caught the football for touchdown, toss the football towards my direction and I caught it. The group of Colts fans near me that were cheering for Peyton was very mad at me because I cought the ball. My Dad was mad that Jets loss but was happy I caught the ball, and then he became a Colts fan that day.
